Date Of Death: October 22, 2007

Taylor E. Melson, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Oct 22, 2007.He was born in Max, Indiana in March 1917. He served his country honorably in the Army during WWII, earning 4 Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. In January 1946 he married his beloved wife Dorothy, and they were blessed with five children.Taylor retired from Sears after over 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Dorothy, daughters Millie Matthews (Bill), Mary Reed (Ed), Margaret Short, Toni Whitehead (Rod); son Gerry Melson, 7 grandchildren, and 4 greatgrandchildren.Visitation will be Thursday, Oct 25th from 5-8pm and Fri one hour prior to the service. Funeral will be Fri, Oct 26th at 1:30 at Harry Moore Family Mortuary, 8151 Allisonville Road. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Floral Park Cemetery.
